Senior Quantity Surveyor required with specific experience of new build Extra Care schemes. This role has transpired due to the successful outcome new projects being awarded. These are a mixture of care homes up to 100no units all for local Social Housing providers.
The company is a well-established Contractor who specialise in the Care sector of the Industry. They enjoy a turnover of nearly £200m throughout additional regional offices.
To be considered for the role you must be a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor who has experience of managing multiple Social Housing schemes (min £5m in value) and ideally lives in/around the South Birmingham area.
Duties will include:
• Manage a number of contracts/developments providing financial and commercial leadership
• Procure sub-contracts from tender enquiry to analysis and letting
• Sub-contractor management from order placement through to final account.
• Accurately predict weekly expenditure on a 4 week rolling period
• Maximise value recovery
• Minimise cost expenditure
• Ensure payments are timely
• Reconcile and accurately report the cost/value position
• Cost variation analysis
• Attend design team, value engineering, internal project review and external Client meetings as required.
Salary will range up to £42,000 and include a car or allowance, home to work mileage, Pension, Bonus paid annual, BUPA after qualifying period and 26 days holiday.
